# AKAMAICDN

AKAMAICDN is a proprietary record type that is used to configure [Zone Apex Mapping](https://www.akamai.com/blog/security/edge-dns--zone-apex-mapping---dnssec). The AKAMAICDN target must be preconfigured in the Akamai network.
